Overview
About Me
I'm a major book nerd. Let me tell you how children's literature is great literature on par with the classic canon. If you know of a great independent bookstore in your area, let me know!
I love to cook because I love to eat, and I love sharing meals with friends old and new. I'm half Greek and therefore have been conditioned since birth that food can cure basically all evils.
I've been working as a children's bookseller for the past year, and I'm always interested in talking about how books can impact children's and adults' lives. Every person deserves representation in the media materials they consume, and books are no exception. I'm really committed to promoting diverse books across the board, so ask me about my favorite books of the moment!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Would love to meet great people as I road trip across the country with my best friend to start our new life in Seattle! We've both couchsurfed before, when we traveled together in Italy and were totally enamored with the process and the amazing people we met along our journey. Here's to more adventures with new friends!

Music, Movies, and Books
I am an indiscriminate listener of music. I love lots of different artists, but most recently I have been listening to: Lizzo, Chance the Rapper, Beyonce (on repeat), Courtney Barnett, Rihanna, Thao & The Get Down Stay Down, Anderson Paak, Torres, Leon Bridges, and so many more. I also really love classic rock and alt 90s. And 90s R&B because duh.
Just saw Finding Dory and loved it. I'm a big Pixar gal. I like all sorts of movies, though, and I just watched Nina Simone documentary on Netflix called What Happened, Miss Simone? which was brilliant. I also love TV shows. Jane the Virgin is a current fave, but I also like Game of Thrones. Sue me, I'm eclectic.
Too many good books to list, but I love: Christian Robinson, Leigh Bardugo, Italo Calvino, Rupi Kaur, Yaa Gyasi, Jon Klassen, Lane Smith, and lots of graphic novels. I adore Saga and Lumberjanes and Monstress, and I really love everything Lucy Knisley creates, as well as Faith Erin Hicks. Paper Girls by Brian K. Vaughn is also great.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I can fold my tongue into a clover shape.
Teach, Learn, Share
Well, I do have a vast knowledge of books. Also food. Also feminism. Let's chat!
What I Can Share with Hosts
I am a very respectful guest. I'm very neat and clean and have good home training, so I would never dream of leaving a home in any condition other than how I found it.
I'm looking forward to getting to know you!
