About Me
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm currently travelling Canada and looking to meet locals (and not-so-local locals) to hang out and share adventures with on my way. Hostelling is fun but I would love to get to know people from the different areas I'm visiting as well as fellow travellers.
Interests
Hiking, biking, walking, travelling, spontaneous adventures, camping, reading, writing, sharing stories and good food, learning new things, meeting new people, discussing politics and world issues, history, snowboarding, laughing, making people smile.
My missions, whilst in Canada, is to learn to swim properly. I've had a fear of water since I was a child but would love to try watersports so I plan on finding some good lakes and giving it a go.

Music, Movies, and Books
I love most types of music, at the moment Passenger and Stu Larsen are amongst my favourites (I'm going through an acoustic guitar phase). Unfortunately, I am lacking in musical abilities but would love to learn to play something (anything!!).
I can't possibly choose a favourite movie, there are far too many to choose from. All Studio Ghibli animations make me feel happy inside, they are simply beautiful.
I read a lot and again, like with movies, I would struggle to pick a favourite or even a top ten. Books I have enjoyed in my life include Little Women, Wuthering Heights, The Time Travellers's Wife, The Night Circus and anything by Murakami. Enid Blyton stories were childhood favourites of mine especially The Secret Island and The Magical Faraway Tree. I will always have a special place in my heart for wee Harry Potter, even though the films just didn't quite cut it.
