About Me
I'm a pretty eco-friendly person: child-free, vegan, non-drinker, non-smoker, recycler, eco-conscious, avid second-hand buyer.

Take only photographs, leave only footprints
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Offer a sofa for someone to sleep on.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Couchsurfed across Colorado/Utah/Arizona/Nevada in October 2014, which was pretty rad. Had a couple of people let me down last minute though, which was a bit of a bummer.
Had two lovely couch surfers stay at our old place in Canterbury and it was a great experience, so I'd like to host more people!
Interests
Photography (particularly wildlife), cooking and baking (vegan, of course!), hanging out in nature, travelling (probably like everyone else on here!), learning, meeting new people.

Music, Movies, and Books
Movies: anything slightly obscure and not adhering to the normal Hollywood formula. Things that spring to mind are the Science of Sleep, The Wrestler, Amores Perros, Earthlings, Zeitgeist. Also can't beat Terminator 2, Tank Girl and The Lion King!
Music: HUGE variety ranging from good ol' country and western right to hardcore and metal.
Books: any biographies, but especially Life on Air by David Attenborough.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Ahhhh so many! Can't pick just one!
I'll tell you a few kind of crazy things that have happened to me:
1. got bitten by a violin/brown recluse spider (cytotoxic) which caused a horrible hole in my leg (now healed, thankfully!)
2. nearly accidentally cut my left index finger off with a machete whilst in Texas when cutting up some meat to feed to captive tigers (got finger sewn back on, phew)
3. spent the night camping under the stars in one of the least light-polluted places in the world: the desert of Namibia. Honestly amazing, I really recommend anyone doing it
4. had various awesome experiences with big cats, such as living in a house with 9 baby cheetah cubs, getting to become friends with a captive cougar, hanging out with some tiger cubs, getting a death stare from a wild lion who I really think wanted to eat me
