I am a teacher, who loves to meet people, hear their stories, and often feed them. My friends say that I collect strays in that I find random people, and end up welcoming them into my life. I am an activist for a few causes, and do not tolerate bigotry. My personal philosophy is that everyone should be good to each other, and that everyone has the right to be themselves.

Things that I can't live without: music, family, friends, puppies (I call all animals puppies). My three cats are like my children.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To meet people, whether I am hosting or travelling. When travelling I love to meet with locals, and hear about their lives, and stories. For example, one of my favourite encounters was in New York, where I met a World War 2 veteran picking up Chinese takeaway who had such an amazing spirit and outlook on life.
