Hey everyone, I'm Nikita. I just graduated with my degree in Adventure Recreation. Exploring the outdoors is my passion and has changed my life for the better! I love meeting new people and connecting with nature. I'm always up for an adventure and love trying new things!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I can't wait to start traveling. Both of my roommates host couch surfers all the time and the opportunity to connect with like minded individuals on such a meaningful level inspired me to join this awesome community.

Interests

I absolutely love the outdoors and all the beauty nature has to offer. My top 3 outdoor activities are whitewater rafting, rock climbing and cycling but I have this problem where I want to try everything at any opportunity I get!

Music, Movies, and Books

I enjoy quite a variety of music, country included. Indie rock, folk and reggae are my favorites. Modest Mouse, Lindsey Stirling, Iration, Rebelution, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Death Cab for Cutie, Luke Bryan, Sam Hunt, Angus and Julie Stone, Passenger, Milky Chance, Bob Dylan, Blink 182, Halsey, Coldplay :)

Comedy is my preference when it comes to movies. Forgetting Sarah Marshall is one of my favorites :)

Most of my reading is centered around outdoor adventure and the importance of being present in each and every moment. I'm currently reading Into the Wild by John Krakauer and The Power of Now by Eckhart Tolle :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I just got back from a 23 day whitewater rafting adventure down The Grand Canyon! The pristine beauty of the canyon is unlike anything I have ever experienced before. I've never felt so small and been astonished with such sheer beauty before!

Teach, Learn, Share

I just experienced canyoneering for the first time and I loved it!

I want to learn how to ski this winter and kayak in the spring.
