Full disclosure, Monday-Friday we typically work until about 6:30 or 7:00 or so. We are super flexible and happy to host surfers on weekdays regardless, but please keep this in mind in the event that it would make things difficult for you logistically.***

I'm a recent graduate from Illinois Wesleyan University and I just moved to Los Angeles from my college town where I had been working as a bartender for a year after graduation. Developing a sense of community wherever I go is important to me, and I am excited to be building that up again in a new city!

I believe in compassion. I am driven in all that I do by the desire to better understand the people around me. I delight in opportunities to make things a little happier whenever possible and learn as much as I can along the way.

Couchsurfers are awesome!! Travel brings so much joy and perspective to my life. I deeply appreciate how Couchsurfing has connected me with new friends to make my travel experiences so much richer than they otherwise would have been. I love to meet new people and learn a little bit more about what the human experience can mean each time.

I have always enjoyed my experiences as a surfer and am very happy to begin giving back to the community by hosting with my partner.

So far, I have Couchsurfed in St. Louis, Nashville, Indianapolis, Omaha, Denver, Las Vegas and Chicago and have attended meet-ups in Nashville, Chicago, and New York.

I have a pretty eclectic taste in music - I love live music of nearly any genre. I typically prefer to listen to Alternative or Indie, but I also love music ranging from grunge to folk metal to pop to classic rock to easy listening to.. whatever! Some favorite artists: Incubus, Hozier, Nirvana, Glass Animals, Regina Spektor, Portugal. the Man, the Beatles, Sufjan Stevens, the Hush Sound ...

As far as books, I enjoy dystopian novels and fantasy mostly. I love to read fiction and explore the ways in which it is an ideal medium to discuss social issues.

I had a lot of amazing experiences, including my first, second, and third time couchsurfing, during a two week road trip I took with friends following my graduation in May 2015. We traveled through the American Southeast, hiked to a waterfall, met amazing new friends, laughed a lot, and attended Summercamp Music Festival.

During college, I studied abroad for a semester In Barcelona where I stayed with a host family and searched for signs of over 2,000 years of the city's history!

I am a professionally trained bartender with a lot of love for the nuances of wine, beer, and craft cocktails. Beyond that, I enjoy cooking and can help out with various household tasks if the need arises.

Although I am young and have much to experience and learn, I have a lot of enthusiasm and have picked up a bit of knowledge and skill along the way. I am generous and happy to share whatever I can :)
