I am 20 years old, a vegan and currently attending University. I am majoring in Political Theory and Philosophy. My travels have been limited but I am excited to change that this summer. I will be attending a study abroad this year to Italy and from there the rest of my European trip will begin.

I am from America, but my mom is from Mumbai, India. I have visited family once over there for two weeks for a wedding. It was a liberating experience and since then I've always wanted to travel and see more.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am doing a study abroad this summer in Italy, where I will stay for 6 weeks. All of my housing will be provided during that trip, but I decided while I'm in Europe, I might as well stay and see some of what it has to offer!

Music, Movies, and Books

Music - A huge variety - classic rock, alternative, rap, some pop, jazz - basically anything but country.
Movies- I love funny movies like Horrible Bosses or Pineapple Express. I also enjoy independent films or just movies that are directed well and provoke thought. I also love documentaries if they are well done.
TV- my favorite TV show is the Walking Dead. I also love the Office (us) and Modern Family.
Books - I enjoy the classic works of great political thinkers - Aristotle, Machiavelli, Plato, Buddha as well as horror stories. My favorite horror author is probably Stephen King.

Teach, Learn, Share

Teach - About american culture, at least what I've seen. I can teach about some of the philosophic thinkers I've read, among other books.

Learn - I love to learn about other cultures. Like how locals live, commute, eat, and learn. The different cultural differences and the things that are the same.

Share - My love of vegan food, conversation about life's mysteries, and hopefully some coffee.
