ABOUT ME

I love to have fun and learn new things. It's always great meeting others who are easy going and always up for doing something spontaneous.

I love to be creative. I especially love to draw using pencil, pen and ink. I also love fashion design and sewing my own clothes!

I like to go to the beach -I've always lived near the ocean. I love the sound of waves crashing and I love the feeling of warm sand!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I like to meet local people for coffee in the places I visit so I can get a better feel for a place. I love the stories and places that local people can show me!

I also just started surfing people's couches, and it's been amazing how kind people are opening their homes to me and taking the time to show me around. It's really changed my outlook on the world and how good people can be. I can't wait to have my own place, so I can give back the wonderful experiences and graciousness that my hosts have shown me! :)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I first heard of couch surfing a few years ago when I met a couple of girls from Germany who were couch surfing their way across California. I was at house party in Isla Vista (UCSB's ridiculous college party neighborhood!) when I started talking to them, and we ended up partying all night together.

I'm new to couchsurfing myself, but one of my old roommates hosted a few couch surfers when we lived togethere. It was great to meet people from around the world, help incorporate them into the local community, and enjoy their company.

Interests

Creativity! I especially love drawing (pencil and ink mostly), sewing, fashion design, graphic design.

I also love meeting new people, having a drink with old and new friends, and exploring.

Other random interests include yoga, coffee, laying on the beach. And I'm currently trying to learn how to surf in Australia.

Music, Movies, and Books

I am into practically every genre, but I mostly listen to electronic music (especially Afrojack, ATB, deadmau5, and many more!), hip hop (Atmosphere, Immortal Technique, Macklemore), and ock n roll (Wolfmother, the Black Keys, Led Zeppelin, the list goes on). I also really like Lady Gaga.

My movie favorites are rather eclectic... Fight Club, The Matrix, Star Trek, Sex and the City, The Adventures of Priscilla, Queen of the Desert, Paul, The Adjusment Bureau, The Town.

My favorite book is Eat Pray Love by Elizabeth Gilbert. I also really like the Chronicles of Narnia by C.S. Lewis and the Harry Potter series by J.K. Rowling. I am currently reading the Omnivore's Dilemma by Michael Pollan.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Teach, Learn, Share

I want to learn how to surf, play an inustrument (drums, maybe?), cook, and to speak French or Spanish.

I could teach you a bit about drawing, sewing,
