ABOUT ME

Hello! My name is Nikki.

Hmm, About me...I am an Interior Design student. I work at a residential remodeling company in Portland, OR where I am an architectural CAD drafter...for now!
When I am not busy studying I try to have a social life :) I love nightlife, dancing, going out with friends, dining. I like reading, movies, new experiences, meeting new people, and beaches. :)
I lived in Rome for 3 months in the Spring of 2007 and fell in love with traveling! I am now addicted :) I love studying foreign architecture and visiting famous sites. Churches, castles, restaurants, trendy stores..everything!

In the summer of 2008 I spent 2 months traveling around Europe. The trip was amazing. I was hosted by many amazing people! I also met quiet a few interesting people along the way :)

Another adventure is in the works for Jan - September 2009 ;)

I would love to meet international people in the architecture/interior design/drafting field. Expatriatism is calling more and more every year....may as well start networking :)

PHILOSOPHY

There is a difference between just getting through life and truly LIVING your life.

You will begin to discover yourself when you are out of your comfort zone. New experiences effect you in countless unfathomable ways.

Beautiful things happen when you take your life into your own hands.

When you're old and gray you won't regret living a little. :)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have only surfed so far. I've come across many many different types of hosts! Everyone is great, but I especially enjoy the types of hosts that I really get to know and can call a friend when I leave.

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies..I like movies set in different time periods or different places that give me a glimpse of how another culture/period lived. Yea...I like chick flicks too. Drama is always nice. I'm NOT a fan of horror movies!
Music....I like almost EVERYTHING. Really.
Books.. Same as my taste in movies. I also like self help books. My current read is Susie Orman "Women and Money" haha
