About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To grow :) Vegetables mainly, but also i guess this could apply to myself!

ABOUT ME

After living in Aberystwyth, Wales for 4 years I spent some time out hitchhiking and woofing, before moving to London 18 months ago. It's busy, fun, and the part of London i live in has a wonderful sense of community. However i'm already getting itchy feet so may be on the move again before long.....

I am a relaxed, thoughtful and friendly person and i love a good adventure. I like to surf, sing, grow food, practice yoga, knit, cook and laugh a lot.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am fairly new to couchsurfing, or at least new to the site. I'm hoping now I have a spare room i can start hosting people in London. I'be had lots of positive experiences and random encounters with people when travelling that have proved to me that a stranger is usually just a friend you haven't met yet.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: At the moment I am in love with Solid Air by John Martyn. I love most music and play a little guitar, i love to sing

Books:I love anything by Gabriel García Márquez or Roberto Bolaño. Hunter Thompson is one of my favorite writers, also a big fan of Chimamanda Ngozi Adiche, Jonathan Safran Foer, Martin Amis, Thomas Pynchon. There is nothing nicer than snuggling down with a big chunky novel!

Movies: I'm bad with movies, there are so many classics i haven't watched which makes people say "YOU HAVEN'T SEEN....!!!!" But i like old horror films, and (in contrast) feelgood films that make you think a bit. I generally don't like my favorite books being turned into films but fear and loathing and Inherent vice are exceptions to the rule!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The Dune du Pilat, deserted at sunrise, is heaven on earth!
