About Me

Excited about life, exploring the world and my self through beautiful connections, mindfulness and travel 💗seizing opportunities, learning every day, experiencing things aligning, appreciating the magic of life and this beautiful, crazy world. Passionate about movement and vibrant food 🌱

On the border of introvert and extrovert..! No day is the same 😂

Taurian learning to find safety and stability in my self rather than in illusions.... lust for life... learning to connect to my truth, to move from a place of love for my self and others... learning to laugh at my patterns as they present themselves... forgiving.... having more fun and less seriousness as I let go of expectations of my self... walking my own path and embracing this moment because after all that's all we have!

Lover of connection, introspection, nature, coziness, good food, the ocean and the forest <3

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To meet kindred spirits and connect over our passions.... to share the experience of life.... to witness people in their entirety.... to have fun.

I've had some amazing times through couchsurfing here in Aus and in NZ and made some great friends; chapters of my travels that will stay with me. I'm currently in Tasmania after the world lockdown delayed my plans to go home and am fully embracing this opportunity! Keen to meet people in this beaut country and share some fun times. would be great to make some connections in the city now that spring is here and get more involved in some cool activities!

Interests

in my daily life I'm striving to cultivate a strong daily practice that is my anchor.... learning to breathe through the challenges and approach them with curiosity to help me grow. I currently run a wholefoods cafe and am loving the space to experiment with healthy, delicious food (mostly plant based). I love food and culture from different countries, you'll often find me listening to world music and cooking dishes inspired from overseas (though I have a strong connection to my British roots and you can't beat a proper brekkie and a brew or a hearty roast with crumble for pud!)

I lived in Yorkshire for the past few years in the UK before moving to Aus in 2018, which is rather different to years of winter field work in the river.... the fresh tassie grass makes me feel at home and grounded compared with the dry mainland, but those 8 months of being able to go take a dip in the ocean before work and sunbathe every chance I got was a magical time. I had a challenging start to my time in Aus but from it emerged beautiful growth and connection and a deep appreciation for my experience and for where I am now. Loving life!

Music, Movies, and Books

MUSIC

Most genres depending on my mood - a good bass still gets me going after my adolescent chapter in the underground scene in the UK of baseline, drum n bass, dubstep then house before moving into dub, jungle, reggae, world music after years of womad festival, alongside psytrance which I still love! Jazz, some acoustic. Meaningful lyrics over good bass.

MOVIES
Gritty violent movies about important things with badass casts - Quentin tarantino & his sneaky appearances - David lynch - animations (Disney, tim Burton) - sci fi shiz

BOOKS

Someone to run with- The Philosopher and the Wolf- the soul of an octopus- mindfulness in plain English- more

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

A night dive in the red sea when all the fish were hunting and feeling like I was in space, getting the train across India, snorkelling in Aus and seeing 3 eagle rays, meeting an elephant; being taught to dance by a young girl in India, roadtripping across Europe with 3 girls in a Vauxhall Corsa and singing our hearts out, feeding baby birds at a wildlife rescue centre in Scotland, 5 rhythms dancing every morning at a fruit festival where I ate raw vegan for 5 days - the beginning of my healing journey, saw the Lion King in theatre in London, amazing Aussie sunsets, hitchhiking around New Zealand, finding community and growth through dance 💗 beautiful honest raw present connection where you fully encourage each others full expression of themselves and love each other where you're at
