About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Connect with people, learn about the world, analyse life

ABOUT ME

I love learning about the world, people and society. I am interested in connecting with people on a meaningful level - whether it be emotional or intellectual. I am passionate about good conversation, food, wine, mojotos and gin and tonic. I like to explore new cities, looking in particular for alternative culture, interesting fashion, signs of the political (especially graffiti) and friendly cats. Although I am Australian I am fiercely un-nationalistic and I do not like beer, beach culture or watching sport.

PHILOSOPHY

I am yet to develop a tweetable, quippable life philosophy. I'm working on it slowly.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I recommend the project to everyone I know.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

In the past six months a lot of my life has been shaped by the people I have met through CS. I feel like my travelling experiences and my life is far richer as a result.

Interests

Pondering the human condition takes up quite a bit of my time. I devour books, although lately I have been writing more than I read. I love buying second hand clothes, running, patting cats. I am interested in a broad range of modern literature and various academic fields including political science, political economy, social science and social movements.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I look for moments of the sublime in everyday.

Teach, Learn, Share

I think one of the most stimulating ways people can learn and teach each other is through conversation and debate. So what I am most interested in sharing with other couchsurfers is discussion: about life, politics, relationships, religion, sexuality, drugs, literature...
