About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Build a world where people can help people without getting charged or taxed.

ABOUT ME

Hello, my name is Nikki. I am a fun loving person who loves adventure, meeting new people and seeks to live by the Golden Rule. I am always respectful, kind and open to different points of view. I try live my life outside the box because I feel more doors are opened up to me for adventure, new friends, interesting encounters, education and opportunities for advancement emotionally and spiritually. This life won't hold enough time for all the things I want to experience but I am working on it!

PHILOSOPHY

Treat others the way you would want to be treated. I live my life in hopes of learning how to love more fully, to experience more deeply, fear less and live free.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Right now I am excited to spend time with people as they are passing through but will host in the near future!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have couch surfed one time and had a blast. I am still new to the game but excited to plan more trips so I can continue to meet new people and pursue my traveling goals.

Interests

There are so many things I am interested in. Some of the things I enjoy are: yoga, cooking, wine, painting, drawing, reading, ping pong, gardening, and hiking. I love to travel most of all because I get to meet new people, experience different cultures and ways of thinking. It is invigorating to feel the vibe of society in motion and to be apart of that.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One of the most amazing things I have done is go caving in Honduras. We took the main tour and then opted to go as far back as possible before you need breathing equipment. I saw beautiful formations that reached so far above my head, I couldn't fathom the time it took for nature to create such beautiful structures. When the guide took my husband and I to the very deepest we could go, we all turned off our lights and held our breath... The silence and stillness I experienced was so powerful!

Another experience I had was participating in Holy Week in April 2010 in Comayagua, Honduras. I was able to help with the process of creating an Alfombra that was a block long. It took 1.5 weeks to prepare the sawdust and egg shells with color, an entire night to lay four scenes and only five minutes for the procession to demolish it. It was wonderful to be apart of something that many Hondurans don't even get to be apart of. I felt so privileged. One of my design ideas was even used in one of the scenes!

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach the basics of drawing a portrait, how to use oil paints, the basics of playing the violin, healthy eating, how to sprout on your counter, yoga flow, play ping pong pen style and how to make jewelry.
