About Me
CURRENT MISSION
The most important goal I have is to love others.
ABOUT ME
I am 27 years old, and my friends would describe me as a passionate person. Whatever I'm doing and whomever I'm with, my heart is always fully into it. One of my passions is my career - teaching. I just starting my fifth year of teaching. I have taught both in elementary school and middle school, and I have been focused on impacting the world through education since high school. I also coach soccer and basketball as well as teach music lessons. I one day hope to start my own charter school focusing on urban education.
PHILOSOPHY
I live my life to love and serve others.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
We all live in one big family in this world; we are all one. We need to look out for each other and love one another every chance we get.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I used to host people all the time in college with my roommates, and I just finished doing a lot of CouchSurfing all throughout Europe. I have had nothing but amazing experiences and have met some truly wonderful people. I am thankful for the community of people I have met.
Interests
More than anything, I love God, my family, and my friends. I come from a wonderful family and am blessed to have an incredibly beautiful girlfriend of 6 years. Oh, and nothing could ever replace my dog, Flower. I am passionate about music, both listening to it and playing it. I earned my minor in music and love playing piano, guitar, and saxophone. I am a sports fanatic and love watching and playing all types, especially soccer. I can get pretty competitive with anything, though, so watch out! I also love theater, especially improv, which I did for 3 years in college.

-I have experienced the love of Jesus.
-I have witnessed a student finally have an "A-HA!" moment after months of struggling.
-I have seen Machu Picchu at sunrise.
-I have gone canyoning down a mountain in Interlaken, Switzerland.
-I have seen a countless number of prayers be answered.
-I went paragliding in a desert in Peru
-I watched a pod of beluga whales peacefully swim along the coast near Anchorage, Alaska
Teach, Learn, Share
Well, since I am a 4th grade teacher, I could teach you some multiplication, some reading comprehension skills, how to write a paragraph in complete sentences, perhaps a little strategy in the realm of capture the flag, or maybe even how to make inferences based on observations in science! For realsies, though, I could teach you some piano or guitar, how to make a darn good breakfast "bulls-eye," or I could teach you how to play ping-pong on my front porch. Being a teacher, I have an incredible love for learning. One of my goals is to learn something new everyday, whether it be about myself, others, or the world.
