About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Climb the tallest mountain. Hypothetically speaking.

ABOUT ME

I'm currently on a trip... I decided not to renew my lease and bought a one-way ticket to Sweden (where I have family). I'm currently travelling throughout Europe and eventually elsewhere; don't have a set end-date in mind - I want to have the freedom to let things develop organically. Taking lots of photos.

i have no idea what i'm doing, just like most everybody else.

i enjoy being active (have been getting very into rock climbing lately). i like books and good meals. i do things with computers, mostly involving the internet. i enjoy long conversations with a few thoughtful people, but it can also be fun to get out with larger groups.

i enjoy music. listening, of course, but also writing it - this can be challenging for me, but also very rewarding

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

i've met a number of very friendly and interesting folks at couchsurfing meetups; it seems to be a great community. I love to travel, and I would like to help enable others to travel as well.

Teach, Learn, Share

In my opinion, the most incredible image ever taken: the Hubble Ultra-Deep Field.

http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/6/69/NASA-HS201427a-HubbleUltraDeepField2014-20140603.jpg

A long exposure taken with the Hubble Telescope of one of the darkest regions of the sky, about the size of a grain of sand help at arm's length, in which no stars are visible to the naked eye.

The long shot exposes, in this dark corner of the sky, a wealth of light - thousands and thousands of points. These points of lights are not stars though - each one is a complete galaxy, full of millions or billions of stars and planets.

If that doesn't make us feel small, I don't know what could. Or maybe it should make us feel large?
