CURRENT MISSION
Finally discovering Europe after hitchhiking around the world.
ABOUT ME
Hej guys and girls,
I am Niklas, 25 years old and from Hamburg in Germany. I study Innovation and Business in Denmark, which is a combination of engineering and entrepreneurship. Currently, I am in my last year of University and since the beginning of my university life I have used the summer holidays to get around the world.
I am definitely an explorer and an adventurous person who likes to see and learn new things. In the past 6 years I had the chance to get around more than 40 countries while doing my bachelor and now my master degree.
I like couchsurfing because it gives you the chance to explore a region/city from a local perspective.
On my journeys often do camping but in cities I either go for a hostel or couchsurfing. I only stay in hostels when I am just for a night or two in town but I prefer couchsurfing when it is more than that to better et to know the people.
When I do couchsurfing I would like to have some nice chats or even some activities together depending on how much time is available. I am not someone who expects a lot as I am a super easy going traveller. If you welcome me I am sure that we will have a good time :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Took the transiberian train on a 10 weeks lasting Odyssey from Germany to Japan. Thanks to a crazy friend still the best trip that I ever had.
Slept alone on an almost 6000m high volcano in Peru. Lesson learned: There is no need of ice on a mountain to have a freezing cold night!
I went all along the Amazon by boat and read the doctor thesis of my professor while relaxing the whole day in a hammock :).
All this ends up in the fact that I hitchhiked around the world. Currently I am about 45000km in 45 countries.
So if you wanna hear some awesome stories from me and the people that I met, count on me :)
Ah one more thing that I am just a little bit proud of: I just recently assembled my very first own 3d printer and actually made it work. Which means: There is some engineer in me :)
Teach, Learn, Share
I am good in english and I love taking photos. Thats why I am good at sharing my stories. Furthermore I like listening to other people's stories to get inspired for my future trips. In addition to that I enjoy discussing politics and current social issues in the countries to broaden my horizon. I always think critically when I hear news through the media and that is why I am really interested in listening to other people's opinion on these issues.
