ABOUT ME

Nik - I am only 28, but I already have lines around my eyes and mouth from smiling and laughing so much. I hope to become even more wrinkly in the near future.

Ryan - I am also 28 but was 28 before Nicole turned 28 so beat that! Also, I tell oodles of jokes that aren't funny. You will be amazed and abhorred by such examples of comedic mastery. I assure you!

PHILOSOPHY

Nik - I take in knowledge, write to understand it, and teach it to students every day. I live to learn, and I love to teach.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Nik - During my first trip to Europe, I managed to pack around Europe for two months with almost no use of hostels due to the outstanding generosity of the people who keep this project up and running! Good lord, but it was great! On my second attempt at Europe, I met the wondrous Tamara, and fell in love with Croatia.

Ryan - Two years ago I met Nicki and she had planned this amazing trip to attend a gypsy musical festival in Guca. We had only been dating a few months but with her mid trip I decided to book a flight and accompany her on her trip. After hostels in Croatia we stayed with this amazing couple in Belgrade, Serbia. It was my first couchsurfing experience, but one that showed me how awesome this site is and the people you meet while being a part of this community.

Interessen

Nik - If every day could be spent walking about, chatting to strangers, laughing openly, and eating food that I am unsure of, I would be even happier than I am right now. Which is pretty darn happy.

Ryan - Swedish hockey players named Douglas Murray who play defense for the Sharks, spicy foods, rock climbing, good handcrafted beers and bourbons, the same kind of cheese, and people who come into your life and shake things up.

Nik - Movies by: Emir Kusturica, Tim Burton, Alfred Hitchcock, Woody Allen. I will read anything. Anything.

Ryan - Roberto Bolano novels, music by Beirut and Cold War Kids and movies that make me giggle or think.
