About Me

Hello,
I am Niko, 23 years old, from Germany and I recently finished my Bachelor's degree and about to start my life-long dream trip around Japan!

My main focus during my studies was Intercultural Communication, which i am somewhat doing research on right now. so Couchsurfing in a way allows me to get two birds with one stone: befriending beautiful people all around the world and growing in what I love to do!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

For me travelling is first and foremost about getting to know other people, not just places, and I think Couchsurfing is a wonderful way of doing so; to have wonderful experineces and give something back (when I have my own place to stay that is) in one way or the other.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love listening to Techno, Lord of the Rings is my favorite movie-trilogy and I can't decide which book I like best.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Probably many, but hiking a mountain in the Scottish highlands, totally underestimating how hard it was, was one of the best.

Teach, Learn, Share

I am very happy to teach you some German and maybe even English, as I consider myself fluent in both.
I am eager to learn about different cultures, habits, histories and countries, and also to share mine.
Currently I am (more or less effectively) learning Japanese, so It would be awesome if you could teach me some aswell!

What I Can Share with Hosts

As I previously mentioned travelling for me is about getting to know people, and not having a cheap bed to stay in. So if you are up for it I would love to go out with you, have exciting conversations about everything, or do whatever the moment calls for. Also, I am passionate about cooking, so creating a nice meal in return for staying at your place is always a great opportunity for me to show my gratitude.

Countries I’ve Visited
