One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Last July (2014), my girlfriend and I had the fortune (perhaps bad, probably amazingly good) to become desperately lost atop a misty mountain in the French Pyrenees. Armed with an indecipherable topographical map, little technical knowledge of mountaineering, and a great deal of recklessness, we decided to make our way down. After scrambling down a rocky mountainside, edging past a melting glacier, traversing an ethereal valley, and fording a rushing river, we managed to return to the trail from which we had originally strayed.
