Hey!
My name is Niko Gardziella and I am from Finland. I am doing my master degree in international business in Germany, Nürnberg and currently I am having my exchange semester in Brazil, Rio de Janeiro. My time in Brazil has been awesome and I hope it will never end, but on March 2016 I have to go back and finish my studies. Until that I am hoping to see as much as possible of this beautiful country,
I have also studied in Argentina, Spain and Japan.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I've been really thinking about getting onto CS for a long time, i just haven't got round to it up until now. I have a lot of friends t host people up in Helsinki and so I've met lots of people surfing before. now that i´m living down in Brazil, and travelling around, i thought it was the right time to finally get onto CS and start surfing. I also want to start hosting people in Rio de Janeiro when i get more time. Previously when I've traveled I've always stayed in hostels, but i think making a connection with local people and seeing a more authentic side of where ever I'm vising would be much more interesting and fulfilling.

I live with a couple of people whop are CS members at the moment, so I've been going to some CS meetings recently and meeting lots of surfers and its been fun. hopefully now I'm a member i can do this more often.

I think CS is a great opportunity to meet people from other cultures and backgrounds. I would also be happy to show people around Helsinki and show them Finnish life and things which they would never be able to see if they didn't couchsurf.

All in all I'm happy to finally have become a CS member and I'm looking forward to getting lots of new CS experiences and meeting cool people.

Interests

I am really into meeting new people, learning new languages and cultures. I also like to do sports like Brazilian Jiu jitsu, snowboarding and recently added to the list: surfing!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Climbed to Mount Fuji during the night to watch the sunrise in the land of the rising sun.

Teach, Learn, Share

Its a shame that not that many people know Finland. I would be more than happy to show the place around and teach the things to do, like running from steaming hot sauna to freezing snow, roll around and run back to sauna.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Its always nice to cook a meal or buy a drink for the host.
