About Me
CURRENT MISSION
coming home after a long trip around the world
ABOUT ME
To broaden one's horizon needs cultural exchange and making experiences outside of the familiar surroundings.
During my studies i tried to make experiences in different counties like during my erasmus in France a training in Syria or workshop in Portugal and Slovenia.
But it also works at home: one room in our flat is always reserved for foreign students or trainees. And we builded a loft bed in the corridor for friends and couch surfers.
My profession is urban planning. I used to work in Hamburg and Berlin before me and my girlfriend decided to quit and start a journey around the world.. Now we are back and I'm looking forward to welcome you guys in our vibrant flat.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I like spending time with people surfing my couch if there is the time. I'm living in a very lively shared flat. Because of my job and studies I can tell a lot about Hamburg and new developments like HafenCity, which actually is on our doorstep. Sometimes I also offer public tours, introducing the concept of Hafen City were everyone can join
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
CS is a amazing project! I just made one bad experience in Marocco where a host wanted to sell paid tours to his couch surfers. besides this I made great experiences witch CS
Interests
I like sports like snowboarding, surfing, tennis and hiking but also bar-sports like tablekicker, darts or pool.
Certainly I am interested in city development in the bigger but also smaller scale and how different countries deal with it.
I like to explore foreign cites with locals or just by walking around being ready for surprises

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Travelling the world in the last two years!
Being in Syria in 2010 was a wonderful experience. I met a lot of pleasant people, visited their families and enjoyed every second. For me it was a great country with many friendly people. It's a pity what happens there nowadays! Hopefully there will be found a solution for peace soon.
2009 i started a trip from Hamburg to Istanbul by train via Hamburg - Prag - Budapest - Belgrad - Skopje - Thessaloniki - Alexandropolis - Istanbul. I was impressed by the cities and the affability of the people we met
