About Me

My partner (Ottilia) who travels with me and I are currently preparing to move out of our home country permanently next year. The plan is to spend the next few years adventuring around, living where our dreams take us, nowhere too long and make some great friends and memories. Also fulfil some dreams till we find a place that feels like a home to us.

I am a lover of life, an eternal optimist and positive thinker. An eccentric Aquarius. Love martial arts (I've been training Japanese Jujutsu for 15 years now) and exercising, music (used to be a drummer). I'm all about that healthy, plant-based life and nutrition and out of that comes the love and need for cooking as well!

I'm also an extreme extrovert so I love hanging out with people and in general love people, they replenish my energy and enthusiasm. This is what I do, it's what I studied. Relations and Communication. But I'm strangely an introvert as well, and I could stay in my house for days doing tons of things never actually having to leave or see other people. Hah life is fun and weird!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm on Couchsurfing because I adore traveling. Its the only time I feel truly myself and at peace - when I'm on the move. A big part of being on the move is sharing those moments with the people you meet along the way. Going with the flow and letting new adventures unfold and happen.

Those adventures, many big and small moments, and the people you shared them with along the way is what life is about. Even if we meet once, it will leave a mark. We will be left with great and dear memories and a friendship. I think having a lot of that makes life even more amazing.
That's why I love couchsurfing and why I love having people over.

As the Yes Theory fam would put it - a stranger is just a friend you haven't met yet.

Interests

I'm a person who loves life. When I was a child, I set a rule that feeling bored is not allowed when there are so many amazing things to do, and I can proudly say that ever since then, I forgot the meaning of the word. Basically I am an up in the clouds recent graduate, ex-musician, martial artist and nomad but I try to as many other things that interest me as I can.

I love playing video games and tabletop/board games - such as warhammer40k! Road trips and travelling and backpacking as well! Martial arts training is something I truly adore doing any time of the day. Or any kind of adventure or adrenaline sport basically, it's something I'm always up for. For now I haven't done much wild camping and survival camping, but that is something I really want to do! And in the next month I plan to do a lot of it hehe! I also love history, aliens and conspiracy theories, underground gigs, etc.

Music, Movies, and Books

Favorite types of music are Alt Rock, Grunge, Metalcore and Nu Metal, and Jazz. Favorite band for now (that changes regularly) is Skindred, Bring me the Horizon, and Billy Talent!!

Not a big fan of books, but I'm a massive Star Wars fan so I love the movies but even more, much more, the books! Also a massive fan of Warhammer 40k so currently I'm loving the books. Also love some books that deal with history. So sci-fi and history.

Don't watch too many movies but the favs I guess are: Alexander the Great, K-Pax, Pulp Fiction. Tho fave shows are Vikings, Peaky Blinders, Smallville, X-files, Californication, Greys Anatomy etc. Love a lot of shows.

I guess I don't really have favorites in almost anything, it really changes with time and mood. However I truly love discovering new shows and music!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Hmm, some amazing moments of my life that hold a special place in my heart are - Swam/floated in a frozen lake in Finland during winter; Got a blackbelt in Tokyo; Sang on the roof of a ferry while backpacking through Istanbul; Started finally my dream skydiving training course; Met the love of my life.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you or take you to my martial arts sessions, or if you prefer to music studios to play the drums. We can go to my dropzone if you wanna learn to skydive as well! Oh, and we can offer a ton of great plant-based recipes!

I also love to learn about the culture and history of my host/visitor and their country! :)

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can take you around Belgrade or, if we find a car, around Serbia. It's a beautiful city and an even more beautiful country with many things to see. The wifey and I will cook you some good vegan food, share our place with you and long conversations (if you like them), and offer a good chill and good company. Of course we'll share the Wi-Fi also heheh!
