About Me

Hi my (future) friends!
I'm pretty new here, so I'll try to provide you the most accurate information about me as I can in a few sentences.:)

------Please, you who do bother to read longer descriptions- don't waste your time here - I really made an effort to describe my person, in order to give you the most accurate and honest picture of me.:) The rest of you - who want to know me (and like cats:)) be welcome & please read on!:)------

GENERAL INFO: I consider myself as an open-minded, tolerant, talkative (WARNING: often very talkative, this is a proof :D) and spontaneous person. Now I'm studying the subject "Counseling in vocational education" at Uni in Prague (bachelor degree, last year). I used to live in Prague for almost 3 years, now I'm living in West Bohemian village (Pilsen is 1 hour from here) with my family again. I don't know much about hosting people, really, but I think if you'll be travelling through Czech Republic, we can communicate and maybe I can host you too!:)

I was working as a hotel receptionist in Prague, now I'm helping my family with business and house. What will be in the future? Who knows? I'm trying to live at the moment - as some Greek man said: How can you plan life?

This motto is one of my favourite: "He who wants looks for a way; he who doesn't looks for an excuse." ...

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

This year, I am experiencing a period of changes in many ways. I have made a decision to overcome the fear of a communication with people in general and start live the life fully, not be just home and live a safe but limited life... I have tried first time to sleep in a hostel and this was IT! I found out, this is the way - it is so exciting to talk with other people from around the world and to exchange cultures, to see life from different views. The main reason I'm here on Couchsurfing is definitely to broaden my (and of course yours) horizons. You are getting to know new people, their interests, share things like culture, cuisine, language, worldview... I can't ever describe how fascinating is that for me, to listen to stories and tell my own too...:)

As I'm talkative person, I like very much to listen to other people's stories and share it. It helps me to understand more and be more grateful for things I used to take in my life for granted and appreciate them. This is the thing you can't just buy, it comes with an experience and cognition.

Interests

A lot. :)
LANGUAGES, DANCE, PHOTOS: I like to speak and learn foreign languages (language enthusiast!!!), take photographs, dance (some oriental belly dance improvisation ), try to play instruments like piano, darbouka, castanets... cook and eat mostly Mediterranean food.

LIFE: I'm quite interested in alternative ways of living and healing - trying to live with as little chemicals as I can, think "green", healthy, (I don't seek much after meat, but I'm not a picky eater - I never refuse an invitation to a local meal or my mom's great cuisine:).

WATER & ASTROLOGY: I love water! You can see me snorkeling with the cheapest water glasses, but I love it with all my heart! That underwater world with many fish, coral reefs, stones etc. is really fastinating... Even though we have no sea in CZ. Anyway, I was born under the Pisces sign, how about you? :) I'm into astrology a bit, so we can talk about characteristics of the signs (I don't believe in daily horoscopes but the characteristics - from my own experiences, you can understand people better if you know at least roughly what behavior is natural for them.) Of course, we are all individuals and unique, this might be just a part of understanding people's personalities. But very interesting! :)

ANIMALS: You can see my Ragdoll cat Milagros (we call her Mili) on my photos. She is our little therapist and a "positive energy source"! You can also meet another cats, two dogs, fish in pond and aquarium and hens at our home & garden:)

TRAVELLING: My favourite city is Berlin and Germany in general... And since my very first landing on Tenerife, I'm definitely in love with Canary Islands (Spain) : villages, cold mountains and mysterious caves, forests, gardens, wildly coloured flowers and tropical plants such as banana plant, pitahaya, opuncia and more all together on one island. Southern sun attracts me like I was born there.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music - Long story. Literally, I can listen to music gernes from all over the world. 80s, 90s, Alternative, Classical, Disco, Electronic, Electro Swing, Etno, Folk, House, Chillout, Instrumental, Latino, Pop, Reggaeton, Rock, Trance (mostly Balearic, classic and uplifting trance)... depends on current mood!:)

Movies - I prefer romantic comedies. Not everything but e.g. My Life in Ruins with Nia Vardalos, filming in splendor Greek background, is just amazing...:) Imagine Me & You, D.E.B.S., Show Me Love (Fucking Åmål in Swedish original), Spider-Man (1+2), Short Circuit (1986), Titanic, Sister Act, Kick-Ass, Kevin & Perry Go Large... these I can watch over and over:) Then, my favourites are fantasies such as The Neverending Story, HP, lovely films with kids like The Little Princess with Shirley Temple (aspires to TOP:). My favourite one is also Mädchen in Uniform from 1931, I love that very special athmosphere here. And Christmas tales! Fairytales in general :-) And also documentaries! About nature, life in other countries and their cultures, I enjoy to watch them. Please no blood, violence or horror films! I feel it that way: you get the energy from films or TV news you see. I like to fill me with positive energy ;)

Books... HP (all parts), a huge amount of books about inspiration & self development... starts with The Secret, Law of Attraction, Erfolgreich Wünschen, Konec prokrastinace... stories - The Diary of Anne Frank, The Picture of Dorian Gray, Surviving with Wolves, Letters from Spain etc.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I am not into parachute jump and those types of super adventurous experiences so far, BUT... who knows?! Until now, I have experienced just some little things compared to other travellers, but they mean a lot in my life. So here is one: When I was 19, I've been to Spain for 3rd time with a travel agency by bus - but 1st time alone! And that was just amazing... I knew only few words in Spanish and I spoke Spanish so much as never before in any language that I learned at school. I've met an African woman with 2 daughters on a local market and she made me beautiful pigtails with my hair. Very warm person and an amazing experience to communicate with her. I have that feeling I know her for ages!

Teach, Learn, Share

I'd love to teach you some Czech language if you want and tell you, how is the life in the Czech Republic (do you want to know about our local food, best beer, Christmas traditions? Or what town you can visit? Did you already taste any healing mineral water? )...
Otherwise I can teach you a bit of my other languages (or better speak in them, not really teach :D - English and German I'm using the most, Spanish I know not so much, same Greek, but the basics should be somewhere in my head :D (But I love them! And love to speak in them and learn them!) At the reception I casually learned some phrases in Russian, so... We can try it too:D Aaand I will be very grateful for the feedback due to the fact my grammar is not always perfect in any language (so feel free to correct me anytime!) :)

If you like cooking (or try to), we can also make some meal together. I'm not a professional cook, but I'm trying my best - very open to discover new and new flavours and meals, improvisation in the kitchen is a must :)

Of course, I can teach you some Oriental belly dance movements if you are interested in it!

If you like yoga, I can share some of my very basic tips for exercises, how to breath properly etc. I have been attending a breath therapy for few months, otherwise I'm learning yoga by myself from books :)

Anyway - if you would like to share time together just with a coffee/tea/mojito/water/waterpipe;D, talk about anything, explore the city and take photos, go for a walk or go dancing or just hang out, relax... Or you can have your own program too! Everything is depending:)

What I Can Share with Hosts

Mentioned above - sharing love for languages, taking photos, dance, music, cooking, food, talking about various topics (no problem those between heaven and Earth), explore places, nature, culture... whatever :)

I would be happy to hear your story as well! Let's share! If you have any questions, please contact me - in Czech, English, German, Spanish...:)
