Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

The 1st CS experience with my friend Romana was in Portugal where we met two very nice landies who hosted us for couple of nights and we could see that this idea is actually working! :)

Then I stayed with a very nice gentleman in Tel Aviv and even learned the entire Hebrew alphabet!

My 3rd CS experience was already from the other point of view when a hitch-hiking jazz singer turned to me when he missed his way to Prague late in the evening and got stuck in Brno :-)

Another experience started as a "few day stay" at the beginning of my Erasmus in Ghent and eventually extended over 5 months of an actual flatmateness :-)))

My last CS experience was in Holstebro, Denmark with a beautiful young woman Irina with whom we had an instant over-the-screen click and she welcomed me beautifully on the way to my "descent to darkness" a.k.a. 3 weeks of training with Odin Teatret.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

~ when I first saw the sea
~ when I first saw the ocean
~ or discovered that the only need I will ever have in my life is to read. And that libraries are actually for free, as is looking at the night sky.
~ also seeing Rodin's Porte de l'Enfer live in Paris
~ and visiting archeological museum in Crete
~ or any other time I have seen the ocean again!
~ when I could actually swim in the ocean ...
~ standing straight on my surf for the first time too
~ and also learning a new language just by pure communication with people
~ visiting a Christmas mass in Bethlehem, and invisibly trying to convince Mahmoud Abbás (who also attended) about peace
~ then I met one of my sisters on FB, by coincidence
~ and I was learning to forgive
~ worked as a garbage woman and helped to clean up the entire Glastonbury festival site so that it became all green again :-)
~ seeing the concert of Coldplay, Muse, Tame Impala and James Blake in Glastonbury 2016 while working again as a garbage woman
~ went on a 10day vipassana meditation
~ discovering that lake is the only true home after having a house burnt
~ trained 3 weeks intensely with the Odin teatret in Holstebro, Denmark
~ stopped being afraid to walk/live/dance in the darkness
~ walking around the hill of Musas and Nymphs in Athens
~ meeting the most beautiful people from this world whose eyes are making mine ever more complete and shining
~ when I was gifted a best friend born in Africa, in the street full of jacarandas <3
~ & poetry.
