Hi, I'm Nikolaj. I'm 28 years old and consider myself friendly and open-minded. I like meeting new people wherever I go and seeing visiting new places. My favorite part of traveling is all the people i meet on the way, usually through going out at night or meeting travelers at hostels.
I also spent a year in Japan on a working holiday visa where I often stayed with Japanese people and am forever grateful for what I experienced there.
If you have some favourite activities you would like to share I'm most likely up for it, I'm curious about other people's interests.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I have a thirst for traveling and meeting new people from different countries. I previously went to an international "højskole" in Denmark where I got a lot of friends from all over the world and that was an amazing experience for me.

Meeting people to hang out with is just a huge part of traveling for me, and the times I've stayed with strangers(outside of this app) have always been so interesting.

Music, Movies, and Books

I listen to a lot of rock from the 60's and 70's, think Fleetwood Mac, The Beatles, The Doors, Pink Floyd etc. and I also enjoy 90's bands such as Nirvana, Alice in Chains and Smashing Pumpkins. Although I have to say recently I almost only listen to Elliott Smith since I discovered him last year.

As for books I really enjoyed The Catcher in the Rye by J.D. Salinger, as well as books by Charles Bukowski.

Pulp Fiction, Shawshank Redemption, The Machinist, American Psycho are some examples of movies I liked. Also just thrillers in general.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

My year in Japan was probably the best experience in my life where I also learned a lot about myself.
