I had a great time traveling and couch surfing in South America and want to give back to the community.

ABOUT ME

I love to meet and connect to people. My housemates say I'm a good listener and easy to get along with, but maybe they're just being nice. I'm usually up for adventures, especially random/spontaneous ones.

PHILOSOPHY

I don’t have too much of an interest in money, except as a medium for sharing with others. I like to have enough money in my pocket to buy people drinks and enough food in my fridge to host friends over for dinner. Generosity and hospitality are important to me, and I like to surround myself with people who hold a similar philosophy.

While I have not yet hosted any Couchsurfer through this website, I've hosted many friends (or friends of friends) on many occasions.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have surfed for two months in South America (Peru, Bolivia, Argentina).

Intereses

I've really fallen in love with Argentine tango. It must be both its elegance and the sense of connection that are unique to tango and attract me to this particular style of dance.

I enjoy doing poi (fire-twirling) at parties, but am by no means an expert. (Provided they are outside parties with plenty of space! I once shattered a friend's porchlight. I thought it was funny, but other people not so much.)

Since I don't watch television, I am not familiar with most television shows/movies, but here are some movies I have watched and enjoyed very much:
Y Tu Mama Tambien, Waking Ned Devine, Saving Face, Love Actually, L'Auberge Espagnol, Easy Rider

I'm not a huge music buff like a lot of my friends, but I tend to enjoy older folk/Americana artists, like Bob Dylan, Simon and Garfunkel, and Leonard Cohen. I also enjoy listening to and playing traditional folk songs.
