The republic is not a conventional house, but a sort of house museum, where the values ​​of respect, freedom of expression and open-mindedness persist.

Ours is a cultural project born during the Covid pandemic back in now 2020.
We host artists, csurfers and friends in an apartment that is a little bit of everyone who loves art.
Over the years we have seen people come and go, many stay, some leave, but the important thing is that each one has left something behind.
So, dear reader, know that if you are a guest of the Republic, it will become your second or, who knows, first home.

We are Nicholas and Alessandro, two old friends and bohemian artists who live with their art and we want to convey our ideals for a unique Couchsurfing experience.
Besides us, who take care of this space, you may know many old csurfers who have become real residents of the republic after the years, for this READ our references: you might get to know some of our past guests!

The doors of the Republic are always open to public in general and we often host exhibitions, workshops or meditation classes for example. That’s means you’ll find often people entering or exiting from the house in completely freedom! So if you’re looking for some privacy, maybe that’s not the right place :)

We strongly believe in the values of couchsurfing, the only website still unpolluted by social networks. So, no WE DON'T CARE about your instagram or facebook profile: we prefer the surprise of a real face. We simply live our freedom in its different forms and without mental limitations. So, if you are looking for traditional and ordinary hosters, please DON'T SEND the request.
We are very welcoming, warm and love human contact with people. Music seasons every hour of our days, so if you are looking for any form of privacy, please do not send the request: you will be disappointed.

We get a lot of requests to stay, so we know very well who reads the profile and who simply copies and pastes. You need to convince us to get to know you! Talk about your passions, your experiences, what shakes your soul!!!

We DON'T ACCEPT one-night-only requests: we consider it little time to fully immerse yourself in our world. I repeat, ours is meant to be a totalizing experience, where the limits of space-time are diluted into a new conception of the surrounding. We are very selective in choosing cs, for this reason, start your message with your zodiac sign, otherwise I will automatically reject it.

Moreover, the Republic has a strong energy that will welcome you and make you take a dip in the 70s, the era of the hippies, or perhaps a cosmic journey into a parallel universe where there are no labels, judgments or stereotypes.

If you have NO PROBLEM sleeping together with other people or sharing a bed with some guests, you are welcome to do so. We will still try to make your stay as peaceful as possible.
The Republic has been renovated entirely by our own energies: we have invested in this cultural project to give sensitive people a chance to express their art, whatever it may be.

Ours is a place of encounters and disencounters, where passions, friendships and loves are born. We believe in free love, from all prejudices, but always determined by HUMAN RESPECT.

We do not accept people who are mentally closed or who simply want a bed to sleep on -in this case we suggest you some cheap hostel. We need stories, travel experiences, art and willing of sharing it.
