About Me

ABOUT ME
Hello :) I am Niko from Frankfurt, Germany, growing up a beautiful town on the border of Frankfurt, with a lot of nature. After high school I travelled to Australia and Indonesia, worked as paramedic for the red cross, and studied European Studies in Amsterdam, Netherlands, half a year in Mexico. My Studies eventually brought me to Brussels, Belgium, where I work as consultant in EU public affairs have happily lived for three years now. My job is in Tech and Energy politics, its something I am passionate to talk about.

The reason I joined Couchsurfing many years ago was that I could meet people from all over the world by sharing my place, and get to know places elsewhere by meeting locals. I've always enjoyed meeting Couchsurfers, even when it was for a coffee or tea for an afternoon. I am not actively following the reference system, so I have a bit more experience than my profile might indicate :)

Few facts about me that travellers might find important:
- I prefer tea over coffee, but usually in for both :)
- I am a Muslim and love to visit local mosques, or to just find some private space for prayer
- I am a vegan in principle, though I make exceptions (especially for halal food). Just lamb and dairy products are not too much my thing :)
- I love history, so I am eagier to learn more about the history and culture of your place.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I want to hear the story of locals where I travel, meet new people, and have an insider experience.

Don’t really watch movies anymore, but the list of those that I like from the past is long, and I love referring to them.

Aqua Man
Shrek
General Disney movies, they are my favorites

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I think that bunjee jumping from 134 meters high was amazing. I did it a second time just when I came up again.
