About Me

CURRENT MISSION

matching living the present with conquering the future (yah, as if it was easy!)

ABOUT ME

humm welll, my name is Nicolas. Once upon a time... i mean, trying to live as much as an independent rebel as i can, till reality shows up! (which doesn't necessarily stop me :")... quite imaginative... i have my moments lets say ! flow when i have to flow, have weakness for the british accent which i poorly try to imitate (if you say " a cup of tea " with british accent you can have me doing almost anything for you). Love beer with talks, love life and love always looking forward to new things (which can sometimes be a curse!!). Routine kills me and connection with others, among other things, is one of the best ways to battle it. I normally find myself having lots of things in common with international souls because of sharing great and/or crazy moments as well as peace when melancholy comes by connecting interests that you can't always find in everyday life. Oh and most importantly, I don't bite!

PHILOSOPHY

Always wonder "why?", never stick to what's established!

and then some great quotes
-It's not few time we have, it's plenty that we don't use.
-If horses had gods, they would draw them like horses.
-Cogito ergo sum (cliche but it isn't it great?)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

hosting surfers in need for short periods and if you give me a good reason maybe for long periods, but gimme a good one !

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

When hosting I've luckily had some unbelievable connections with my surfers... things that really blew my mind and/or made me feel very identified. When surfing my best experience was in Madrid for 3 nights... priceless! had one of the best times in my life surfing with italians there. You never know a city till you've toured around with locals (or semi locals) who show you the real deal.

Interests

Paleonthology, Dental implants... just kidding

Interests that might interest you amongst the non regular ones (music, party, etc) are finding common things with others, especially about things we've done or experienced in the past. I also like giving surprises and contemplating reactions (like showing up out of the blue after 1 yr and ring some friend's buzzer, jumping into the pool for 3 euros with 3 degrees to get the money that was missing to get into the club, etc). Also sarcastic jokes and comments so you can be as twisted as you feel, joke around with the first things that come to your mind and it will be appreciated!

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: The beatles, pink floyd, seru giran, led zeppelin, jethro tull... goes on and on. Singing beatles songs in duet with somebody that knows the lyrics is among my favorites (and if possible the guitar chords because i suck when y play and sing at the same time)!

Movies: Real life movies (french mostly), Comedies, warfilms (mostly for the adaptation of the human spirit and stuff)

Books: right now culture and history. Enjoyed "Blindness" from Saramago and "Metamorphosis" from kafka.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

trip to San Rafael. Went to "la caverna de las brujas" (the witches' cave), I couldn't believe what I saw... recently walking out of the HBF in Koln and stumbling into the DOM at once, but anyways life has so many things to amaze you, i think anyone could write a book about this section if they look inside their head

Teach, Learn, Share

well sharing would cover the other 2 right? Learning: Anything new will do! I honestly enjoy so many subjects that i couldn't pick one even if i wanted to Teaching: i can teach you how to do chores for a song, spanish, to move your ears, to flip a creppe like seen on tv (really not as hard as it looks), that you can't suck your elbow, to make your bad neighbor's car not to start without breaking anything, to fix refrigerators and washing machines, to know why you don't have to eat 50 pieces of sushi and immediately go to play football, and that's about it, hell what else does one need to live a good life!!
