Currently I'm working in Iceland for more than 1 year now. When I moved here one of my biggest dreams came true and I cannot be grateful enough to be here right now.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Couple of years ago, I was travelling with my friend in the US and we were hosted in several cities by amazing people. At first we were strangers to them but they trusted us, they showed us their homes, they handled us as we were part of their families... it was an amazing experience. Since then I have the feeling that even if you haven't seen somebody before, s/he is not a stranger, but a friend. It's so good to feel that you can be at home in a foreign country as well, you can be at home anywhere in the world. So my experience is absolutely positive and I'm really grateful that they showed us this way of hosting!

I've never hosted people before, I've lived in a dormitory for a long time during my studies in Hungary and I dont have my own place to live yet - and now I am on the go.
However, in the future I'm sure I will offer a couch if I have the opportunity!

Interests

I'm interested in kind a lot of things. So far I started a lot of things as a hobby, some of them remained, some of them I do only rarely nowadays, but I'm still interested in those and I think I'll be always. :) These are: music, when I was a child I used to play the piano and I still remember some songs, i'm planning that if I have my own place I'll buy my own piano. I also like to play the guitar, I love to take photographs, and I can spend a loooot of time during trips by stopping and trying to catch the perfect moments. I'm interested in analog photography and photo development too. I like to travel and I'd like to travel more in the future, I'd like to understand more about other cultures and see beyond our comfortable lives we live.
Other interests of mine: running, meditation, psychology, good books, music and movies.

Music, Movies, and Books

Some of my favourite Hungarian authors: Magda Szabó, Alaine Polcz, Frigyes Karinthy, Sándor Weöres. And the international: Lois Lowry, J.D. Salinger, Hermann Hesse.

Some movies I like(d): A beautiful mind, Once, Léon the professional, The fountain, As good as it gets, Bibliotheque Pascal, Lost in Translation, Jesus Christ Superstar, Benjamin Button, Alive, Babel, Samsara, Beginners, Restless,... oh Gosh.. so many sad and depressing movies...Don't worry, I like Bridget Jones too! And last but not least... La Boum! Thats a classic.

And about the music.. oh, it's always so hard, cause I have soo many favourites, but the most important ones (and most recent ones): Gregory Alan Isakov, Bon Iver, Sigur Ros, Damien Rice, The Lumineers, Oasis, Norah Jones, Sufjan Stevens,...
I really really like older ones too, like: the Carpenters, The Beatles, Billy Joel, Simon & Garfunkel, Creedence Clearwater Revival, Beach Boys... (thanks Dad for showing me good 'old' music)
Well I think thats enough information for today.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I walked through Spain once. But actually, its not such a big deal. You just walk. One foot in front of the other, for 35 days. :)
