Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I really like meeting people from around the world, learning about their language and culture. I'm studying Spanish, English and Portuguese languages, I'm taking Indonesian dance classes and I love latin dances. I can't imagine myself without traveling and learning new things about what's happening in the world. I feel like couchsurfing is like a window to all those places and people and I'm so glad something like this exists. It's all about that coffee (or beer) you have with a person you didn't even know existed 2 hours ago, but now you feel like is your friend, while watching the sunset in a different part of the world, or just walking around the city you never believed you would travel to and having a long conversation while asking yourself if this really is your life and you can't even describe how happy you are.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I was camping on the beach in Spain, falling asleep and waking up to the sound of waves, and was able to see the sunset every evening and saw the most beautiful orange moon in my life

I had a fear of traveling by airplane, and then I went by myself 3 times on one trip

For the first time, I traveled solo to Spain for more than a month and I had the time of my life

I went wild camping at the top of the mountain near Barcelona, seeing one of the best views and saw a fricking boar while coming down, I was scared as hell, and that day I thought my time had come

Met so many nice people that I'll never forget! For example, I asked one guy for the direction of a hostel in Barcelona, and he walked with me for 10 minutes carrying my bag all the way to the hostel, a guy who let me stay by myself in his apartment in Madrid without even meeting beforehand, then the guy who saved my ass from the boar, the guy who taught me the best Spanish curse words. I can keep going!

I hitchhiked for the first time and had the best time ever. I was talking to the driver about Don Quixote and then he gave me a little statue of Don Quixote, then when I was in the giftshop, I was talking with the worker and told him about it and he gave me a pendant of Cervantes and then I went to a bookstore to buy some books and the guy gave me 2 books because he found out I'm studying Spanish. It just shows how much people gain by giving. And it's not about the stuff I got, it's about the goodness of the people.

Spent the night in a sleeping bag while having the most beautiful view of Toledo and saw so many shooting stars that I ran out of wishes :)

I went on a road trip to Asturias with the best host ever, pretty amazing if you ask me :)

I learned that you can't plan everything and having all my plans change, I became more open to whatever is coming and finally felt the freedom of not knowing what's gonna happen next and I fricking love it
