ABOUT ME

I'm Kolya, it's a short name for Nikolay. I am Russian and Japanese and am a big fan of both cultures. I think that I am very good at adventure travelling. I substitute a detailed travel plan with a lonely planet guide, advice of other travelers, and confidence. I love the feeling of complete freedom, when you are free to choose your path and make any changes you want on the way.

PHILOSOPHY

I think that the world is one large appartment with lots of roomates that we have not met before. Luckily I got to travel to many distant rooms of our global apartment and meet many roomates who became good friends. Also, I belive that it is our responsibility to travel with respect and utilize globalization in a way that would maintain sustainability of other cultures. Nevertheless, I think that each culture is a unique story that everyone should have the right to hear.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am always ready to meetup for coffee or drinks, offer advice, share travel stories, be adventurous, explore the city and have a good time. Also when I'm not too busy with work I host ppl on my couch and organize pool parties.
