I swear a lot and I'm pretty sarcastic, but I'm not actually a mean person. It's all in good fun! There's no worth in fussing about silly things. If I offend you somehow, though, I'll honestly feel bad about it.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Travel as much as I can, get to know people from around the world and when possible, become a host for as many guests as possible.

Interests

I mostly enjoy a good read, while playing and listening to music comes a close second. Drinking beer is definitely up there too. What I find most exhilarating, however, is working with my hands; from carving wood to chainmaille weaving to fixing broken things I find lying around.

Music, Movies, and Books

I prefer listening to metal, without being a metal "elitist", really. Funk, jazz, blues classic rock and especially classical music are a part of my daily routine but it mostly depends on the mood.
Some of my favorite artists, in no particular order are: Opeth, Mastodon, Clutch, Pink Floyd, Deep Purple, Led Zeppelin, Jethro Tull, Tom Waits, Tiger Lillies, ZZ Top, Paco de Lucia, Miles Davis, Mozart, Prokofiev, Shostakovich, Bach

I'm really into plot-twisting, mind-blowing movies, like Memento, Old Boy, Fight Club, The Machinist etc. I'm also really into absurd comedies along the lines of RRRRrrr, Top Secret, Black Dynamite, any Marx Brothers movie with anything produced by Monty Python as a favorite. The crème de la crème, though, are the Lord of the Rings movies, having watched them more times than I can count.

Following the movies trend, I'm generally into fantasy and comedy books, my current second favorite author being Terry Pratchett, surpassed only by the de facto first, J.R.R. Tolkien. Aside from fantasy, comedy (and fantasy-comedy) books, I find history, mystery and science books fascinating. Some of my favorite books are: The Lord of the Rings trilogy, The Colour of Magic and Light Fantastic (and, well, probably every other Pratchett book), the Malazan: Book of the Fallen series, Catch-22, 1984 and the Animal Farm, Brave New World

Teach, Learn, Share

I can probably teach the basics of the Greek language, share my views on the Greek culture and gift you with the knowledge of how to sing terribly. Also, some bass guitar skills and many random facts about many random things are part of my repertoire.
I really, really like to learn new stuff and gain new skills, almost everything is of interest to me.
