About Me
ABOUT ME
American ex-pat, spent most of the last 7 (8?) years as a legal resident of Budapest, with occasional excursions (mostly in Europe) for work and/or pleasure.
Beyond that, I find myself difficult to describe. Most everything which I could honestly say about myself must be bound to a contex. Language is good for describing objects, but people should not be objectified and therefore it fails.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm mostly on couchsurfing to meet expats, travellers, and English-speaking Hungarians through a variety of local events.
I wouldn't completely rule out using it for the purpose its name suggests.
Interests
Currently earn my living as a software developer (on the Salesforce.com platform), but rather prefer to be creative (as inspiration and energy allow). In the past my artistic outlets have included writing, drawing, making music (loosely so called), but these days the camera tends to dominate.
Also an avid cyclist throughout the year, but generally don't expect to bring my bike on my travels (though wouldn't mind to aquire a cheap one if I am anywhere for any length of time).
When traveling, I most enjoy to try exotic foods and meet interesting people, but I also enjoy seeing both human and nature's monuments and all creatures great and small.
... and I shouldn't forget to mention that I enjoy specticals of cinema and theatre, except when their pretensiousness outweighs their artistic merits.
