ABOUT ME

I'm a reader, a writer, an adventurer. I love the Shenandoah for the hiking, the great music scene, and the kind people. I have about six part-time jobs, including teaching at universities and a high school, directing plays, writing for Upworthy and other web content sites, and creating software and web solutions for arts problems. In my free time, I like to make good food for good people and hang out with the dirt and the trees.

I'm also a full-time mama to two lovely children, born in 2010 and 2012.

PHILOSOPHY

I'm trying to love the unlovable, and to love myself even when I fail at that.

I've surfed in Nashville, Richmond, and San Jose, Costa Rica! <3 Couch surfing! Best way to travel, basically ever.
