I use change to avoid boredom. Seeing a new place is more worthwhile than playing a new game on my iPhone.

I enjoy literature, wine and swing dancing. I like seeing new places and meeting people who've thought twice about who they are. If I could spend my life learning new languages, reading well-written books and relaxing over a bottle with interesting people, I'd be pretty happy.

I've lived in Norway, Canada, Germany, France, Austria and Switzerland. All of them are worth seeing again; none of them were worth staying for.

Don't really have an address atm, but I live in Oslo/Geneva/Heidelberg and am headed for the Low Countries.

I'm trying to pick up Dutch - which means being in the Netherlands. Usually when I travel, I stay with friends, but I don't know enough people in the Netherlands for that to be an option.

If you think I'd be interesting to meet, I'd be happy to do so; if you'd be willing to speak Dutch to me, I'll thank you kindly. I could return the favour with Norwegian, English, German or cooking.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Took a 25-hour car-, bus- and taxi ride from outside of Charlotte, South Carolina to Dover, New Hampshire. Longest single stretch was 14 hours. Guess how much of that time I spent on or waiting for buses ^^
