Let's start with the soft facts: I love Tiramisu and claim to be a master in (potentially vegan) Tiramisu making, last summer I achieved more than 10.000 train km with my interrail pass and I am very fascinated by renewable energies. Also, i get very excited if I can save a couple of euros on train rides. Hard facts: 28 year old PhD candidate in sustainability studies, German, live in Leiden at the moment.

Maybe it sounds a bit cheesy, but I would say it is the most exciting and honest way of traveling as you have the opportunity to actually meet local people and gain insights into the culture. Ever since my highschool exchange and my studies abroad, I have enjoyed meeting people from different countries, because honestly sightseeing loses its attraction if not mixed with personal insights. Have done some couch surfing but the old profile got lost :)

I can tell you a lot of sustainability both from a systemic and a personal perspective. I am very passionate about any topic related to change within our current economic and political system. Also, I love sports, particularly cycling, running, tennis and surfing. Also a good dinner with self-made food is always amazing.
