About Me

Basically I am interested in everything.
I am an encouraged listener and love good stories. But I also love to share. I have lived in many different places and experienced a lot of weird stuff. Usually, I travel with my camera, often I travel for pictures. I love to take images of people and landscapes. I like living life the easy way, seeing things growing from the roots and enjoy the little moments. I love learning languages and practice them with people along the road. If you have a spare guitar, we can jam!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To be social.

Interests

As a student of anthropology, I love to discover culture. Not neccesarily in museums and exhibitions, but culture that is lived: the small things in life that we share and how we share them with each other.

Music, Movies, and Books

I listen to all kinds of music, but I don't hype electronic music like most of my fellow German people. Except from electro-swing.
My favourite movie is definitely "Haider", a Bollywood movie with the best camera and the most beautiful images. Everything fits here (except from the end :D).
Uff, books. As an engaged student, I read a lot of scientific stuff, but that's definitely not my favourite literature. My most favourite book might be "Genesis" by Sebastiao Salgado, an amazing collection of photographs of our planet.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Hitch-hiking from Germany to Istanbul.
Walking the Zoji-La pass in the Himalaya all alone.
Swimming in the Pangong-Lake at the Indian-Chinese border (yes, it was cold).
Sleeping in the Thar desert and observing the center of our galaxy with the naked eye.
Living with a loving family in the Himalayas...

Teach, Learn, Share

I can tell a lot about photography, culture, my homecountry and many more things.
