Overview
About Me
Hi, I am Nina and I am really excited to become a part of the couch surfing community.
I grew up in United States, in a small town called Milltown. In high school I moved to Quito, Ecuador, where I live now. Due to this I speak both English and Spanish fluently. I am also working on my German.
I´m new to coach surfing, however I am very experienced in exchanging with and receiving people in my home. We have received friends from Venezuela, México, Bolivia, Afghanistan, Germany, El Salvador, and the United States, mainly through exchange programs (Kolping, Experiment EIL Ecuador, AISEC en Ecuador).
This month (September 2018) I am graduating from Architecture (finally!). It has been a long and trialing process. Because of this, I am taking a two-month sabbatical travelling in Europe to visit my brother and friends, reevaluate my career path, visit old and new architecture and urban marvels, and meet new people in the process.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I am on couchsurfing to find people I can connect with and who are willing to graciously receive me in their homes while on this trip. I love talking with people of different cultures, and through them learning about their country, their values and their customs. I take these opportunities to learn better habits and open my mind, and apply it to my daily life.

Music, Movies, and Books
I enjoy contemporary Latin American music and rap with good lyrics.
I plan on reading 1 book for each country I visit. If you have any suggestions, please tell me.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
A 4-day biking trip in la Ruta del Sol, a highway that follows my country´s coastline. It was my first long distance bike trip. We camped every night by the beach. It was an incredible journey for the soul and for the body.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach fun circus basics, and tell you all I know about architecture and what I wish for in the future of cities and town. I can share with your stories of my life, my experiences, and my trials. I am willing to learn what you are willing to share with me about you and the place you inhabit.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I enjoy cooking, and have a few typical Ecuadorian meals in my repertoire: Empanada de Mejido, Ceviche Ecuatoriano, Locro de Papas. If I obtain plátano verde, there are so many more yummy options!
I can offer contemporary and classic Latin American music playlists, conversations on latin american travel and urban planning. And if you ever wish to visit my country, I offer open arms to receive you.
