A solivagant traveler on her second gap year after high school. Even though there was the pandemic, I couldn’t just settle down and start university without really knowing what to study. Against my parents wishes and initial doubts, it was the best decision I’ve ever made. I learned 2 new languages, got to know 7 new countries and unnumbered wonderful people. And I am not thinking about stopping with that. Currently making a little dream come true and exploring South America ☺️

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I spent four weeks in Barcelona and didn‘t get in touch with ANY locals. I still met so many amazing people but I didn‘t feel really immersed in the city or culture even though I spent a decent amount of time there. Therefore looking for more authentic experiences.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Apart from volunteering on Galapagos Islands and living there in a wooden house next to iguanas, sea lions and turtles, I found my night ziplining experience in Mindo (Ecuador) extremely cool. It was the first time that I saw fireflies and it felt like the jungle was all ours, flying into the dark without really knowing what was under you except for the huge trees, just watching the city lights and feeling more alive than ever.

Teach, Learn, Share

I absolutely adore learning new languages, so this kind of exchange is always fun for me. I’m a guitar beginner and would love a little jam together! Last but not least, I have a thing for digital arts, I wanna learn about portrait photography. We could have a little shoot, if you would be open for that :-)
