Overview
About Me
My name is Nina and when I'm not on the road exploring this beautiful world, I live in Aarhus, Denmark.
In August 2015 my boyfriend and I decided to sell our stuff, quit our jobs and university courses and bought a one way ticket to Russia. We made it through Russia, Mongolia, China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Southeast Asia, Australia and New Zealand and North America. It was absolutely liberating to just travel wherever the heart wanted to go. No travel plan, no commitment and no end date.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
To find new, different, cool, crazy people to create memories with, to discuss life, politics, music, movies, culture with, drink wine and coffee with, dance with and laugh with . The best way to get to know a new culture is to see it through the eyes of a local. I think couchsurfing is a brilliant idea that can bring people in this world even closer together.
Interests
When I travel I mostly enjoy finding hidden places, cute cafes, and I LOVE good food (mexican food is my favourite)! I like yoga and I often bring my Manduka mat with me so I can do my sun salutations even when I'm on the road. I love music and have been playing the saxophone since I was 11 years old. Jazz, blues and soul is my favourite but since meeting my boyfriend I've have grown to like classic rock.
I have always been big fan of art! When I was 6, all I wanted for my birthday was a bridge like the one in the gardens of Claude Monet (what a weird child I was!?!).

Music, Movies, and Books
My music taste is broad but my favourites are jazz, blues, soul and classic rock!
My favourite band at the moment is St. Paul and the broken bones.
My favourite movies: The intouchables, The intern, The A Team, and Taken.
Tv shows: Modern Family, Suits and How I met your mother
Some of my favourite books are: The little prince, the Da Vinci Code by Dan Brown and Republic by Plato. And since I was brought up in the 90's, I'm a fan of Harry Potter by J.K Rowling.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Traveled around the world for 10 months on my own when I was 21. It allowed me to swim with whalesharks, bungy jump, skydive, learn to surf, scuba dive, see lots of new countries and drive through 18 states in the US from LA to NYC.
