About Me

Hi!
I'm Nina, I'm from Germany but grew up in London for a couple of years and go to university in Scotland now. Currently I'm on exchange and live in Madison, Wisconsin (go badgers!!)
Big fan of visiting new places and hearing cool stories from other people's lives/travels.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I joined when I was in Australia for a year after high school with a friend. We mainly couchsurfed together but we met so many cool people who showed us around their cities and shared their favourite spots that really made our time so much better.
Living in hostels is fun too, but you really can't beat the local experience in my opinion.

Music, Movies, and Books

The Martian is one of the best books I've ever read and the movie adaptation isn't half bad either. Other than that Interstellar is a good movie if you have the patience to sit through it.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I went camping in Tasmania with 3 friends- 4 of us plus tents, backpacks, and food for 10 days in a tiny 2 door car. One night our campsite finding app crashed and we had to drive around looking for somewhere to pitch our tents. Eventually we found a campsite in the middle of a forest (I was never so sure I was going to get murdered). We were so cold and tired that we just set up our stuff and got ready without really looking around.
At some point I looked up through the trees and saw a full starry sky with the milky way visible and all. That's not really a thing we ever get to see in Europe and I just remember being in total awe.
One of the most amazing things I've seen, to this day.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can teach you traditional Scottish folk dances (very fun trust me).
Also I'm a pretty decent cook, so I'd happily do that.
