Overview
About Me
I run a plant-based food production company specialising in fermented foods. I'm really into learning about microbiomes and how our gut bacteria effects both our mental and physical health, and the resulting implications on behaviour.
I'm can be curious about anything and I love meeting new people.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Surely the best way to learn about a place is to meet the people who live there? To viscerally experience new cultures.

Music, Movies, and Books
Oyyyy, 'tis too high a demand.
I find it difficult to engage with genre chat because I like a little bit of it all but not enough of any of it to speak with any authority. Hip-hop, pre-fascist Morrisey, anything with a gee-tar, folk. I love being introduced to new music and am an out and proud Shazamer.
Books- AnYthIng Virgina Woolf (except The Lighthouse, bite me), specif Mrs. Dalloway and A Room of One's Own. Balzac & Orwell for observations on class structure. Everything Evelyn Waugh, & Love in a Cold Climate, Nancy Mitf for pithy witticisms and lols a minute. Proust & Hardy for mind boggling descriptions of nature and bucolic rust. Kate Chopin, Sylvia Plath, Charlotte & Emily Brontë, Jane Austen, and Alice Birch, to challenge stereotypes and better understand myself and the experience of being treated as a woman.
L'Étranger, Notes from Underground, The Symposium, Plato's Republic, The Glass Bead Game, Catch 22, American Psycho, Clockwork Orange, The Prince, Thus Spoke Zarahustra, and The Catcher in the Rye, and David Ireland to change assumptions and better empathise with the experience of being treated as a man (lulz?)
THE LITTLE PRINCE, The Phantom Tolbooth, and The Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe to remember the experience of childhood.
I also like non fiction but whilst it fills my head with nuggys and conversational fodder it doesn't shape or colour me. Whereas fiction provides my context for better understanding the world.
Films... follow me on letterboxd @ https://letterboxd.com/rosienina/ - but let's just say Andrea Arnold and The Fifth Element are my ride or die's
