About Me

Hi! I'm Nina, I'm new on couch surfing so I'm slowly getting used to it. The only time I've used this app was through a friend to visit a city in Andalusia with a local, it was amazing, and our guide was really kind and cool. Since then I kept the name of the website in my head. Now that I'm living in Japan for a year, I thought it would be a good idea to make a profile to meet people and in case I want to travel in the country or in the countries around.

I'm someone who is very open-minded and love every type of art from street art to video games. I like to draw little doodles, film and edit, take pictures,...
I want to study event management so I'm very interested in all kind of event, if you're going somewhere and need a partner in crime, hit me up!
I'm very curious about everything so whether your passion is similar to mine like fashion or you're more into anthropology and mountains, I'll be there to learn about it and maybe participate in a related activity! Everything related to culture and countries is the thing I'm most curious about!

Anyway! It's very nice to meet you!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

As a child, during vacations, my parents and I would always go camping. As I grew up, I start using hotels more and more and I started missing this sense of community and sharing that you find while camping. When you travel being with people that actually live in the country makes the trip even more worth it and also there's nothing better than genuine conversations as short as they might be. It's better than being alone in a hotel room.

Music, Movies, and Books

I listen to all kind of music genre, I really like chill, indie, lofi-hip hop tracks. I'm interested in listening to music from all over the world, no matter the language. My favourite group is BTS, one of my favourite song of them is called Sea.

I love movies that enable the viewer to dream but are yet settled in the real world and can be a bit absurd like Mister Nobody, Wes Andersons' movies, Quentin Dupieux's movies, Little Miss Sunshine, Captain Fantastic, Micmacs, Swiss Army Man, La la land, Sucker Punch,...

I like narrative video games like Life is Strange, Until Dawn, Detroit - Become Human, ...

My favourite books of all times are Alice's Adventures in Wonderland and Through the Looking-Glass, and What Alice Found There. I'm also very interested in folkloric tales from around the globe.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

- I've won a contest with an essay and went to study for a month in Japan, Chiba.
- I was selected to be a jury at a short film festival where during a week I watched so many movies that my eyeballs were fried but it was all worth it.
