About Me

Hey! My name is Nina, I'm 22 years old, I'm from Russia. Have been studying Japanese and other foreign languages... So I'm pretty excited to travel and use my language speaking skills, let's say, "on the spot".
I've been living in Japan for a year as exchange student and i took this opportunity to travel across Japan and Asia a little bit.

***WHAT AM I CURRENTLY UP TO***
Planning my next trip, that's gonna be Finland!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I joined CouchSurfing, because I really believe that experiencing new country is not only about sightseeing and monuments and museum and LOCAL FOOD (nevertheless, obvisiouly, food is a HUGE part of our life... Don't you agree? heheh) but also about PEOPLE. And meeting locals - this is basically what Couchsurfing serves for, sooo... Hey locals what's you up to let's hang out :D
I am also sure that there is EXCELLENT way to share skills and favourite music/books/recipes, so please jump to sections below if you are interested!

Music, Movies, and Books

Books: I'm such a bookworm okay xD I'm reaaallly into Beatniks' literature and also all these New Journalism and gonzo-journalism stuff. Music: I'm listening to it every day and even try to play and compose ok xD No specific genre preferable. All-time-favourites are Muse (very original, yepp), Prodigy, a number of minor folk-bands no one even knows, lots and loads of video games soundtracks. Not a big fan of movies, but recently I've seen a TV series 'The Young Pope' by HBO and I'm super into it and it is basically the only thing I can think about.
Also 2 words about games although it isn't mentioned: it takes the MAJORITY of my life :D now i'm kinda addicted to Overwatch (but i try to quit... It's goddamn hard you know), but also I always keep my eye on new indie stuff. For example, I'm a huge admirer of "Night in The Woods", "Transistor", all the stuff by Decompression Team, "Yomawari", "Oxenfree". I'm also a fan of "Dishonored" series.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

MY FIRST TIME EVER HITCHHIKING IN JAPAN oh my god that was great!!!

Teach, Learn, Share

I can be your erai sensei* if you want to learn Japanese, or about Japan (literature, culture, music etc.... Maybe economics???), or both!!! I've been learning it for 5 years by now and also spend a year in a country, so you can trust me, no worries!

I can read cards for you (Tarot is perfect and I'm carrying my desk with me, but even trumps are ok) or lines of your palm. Don't be sceptical, it is actually a lot of fun!

IF YOU DRAW please let me know because this is highly appreciable (is this even a word?) skill i'd like to learn... Just let me see you draw. It's so cool when people can create pictures from their mind out of nowhere *_* Please just let me watch you and have my ARTgasms (heheh)

*wonderful teacher - you won't need this reference if you let me teach you ok? ^^

What I Can Share with Hosts
