About Me
ABOUT ME
Hello! I'm very easy-going, friendly and generally have a massively positive attitude to life. I love to have a good laugh, and don't take myself too seriously so I probably end up laughing at myself a lot.
I did a year abroad in France and Portugal last year and I loved it so much that now I've graduated I'm moving back to Portugal! Travelling, experiencing new cultures, meeting new people and learning new languages are some of my all time favourite things. I speak English, Portuguese and French. My German is ok, but a bit rusty, I can understand quite a lot of Spanish, and on a recent trip with two Slovenian friends I started learning some very basic Slovenian.
Apparently I dance "like someone's dad at a wedding" (despite 12 years of dancing lessons as a child), but I'm not sure I agree, I have some incredibly inventive dance moves.. I'm terrible at baking cakes, but I do make a pretty good banoffee pie!
My life aim is to visit every continent on the planet and every country that speaks Portuguese.
PHILOSOPHY
You only live once, ENJOY IT and have no regrets.

Music, Movies, and Books
Movies: generally anything with a decent storyline or a funny script.
Music: I love music, especially when it's live at a gig or festival. I'm open to new things, but I'm a particularly big fan of electronic.
Books: I've read a lot of books about mountaineering accidents (Between a rock and a hard place, Touching the void, Into thin air), I think true-stories about survival against the odds and an absolute refusal to give up are really inspiring, much better than chick-lit anyway! I enjoy "modern classics" much more than traditional classics, things like 1984, Brave New World, A clockwork orange. I also really enjoyed The beach and Jurassic Park.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Queima das Fitas, Coimbra, Portugal. Huge student festival, but no words do it justice, everyone should go once in their life.
Teach, Learn, Share
Can teach English.
Would love to learn more languages.
