Easy going, even a bit shy until I get to know you, but I try, and I listen. I love the outdoors, but I also like old things and history. So take me on a walk to see a tiny hint of bygone people and I'm happy. Or could bike there, love my mountain bike too.
Married to a wonderful man, who has the travel bug too.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

My daughter suggested we sign up and try couchsurf for some of our accommodation for our road trip around UK. We were hosted for about a third of our desired locations.
Meeting the locals is definitely the best way to experience a country. We made new friends and saw things we wouldn't have found on our own.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

CouchSurfing seems a great way to travel and meet the locals in a real way. And have learnt so much from having people stay and tell us their impression of Australia and Australians.

Interests

Want to see some more of the world and meet the people, not just see the places. Having said that, I love architecture, and old places as well as natural beauty. OK, I love rocks, too. I've taken up photography and am trying to take pictures, not just holiday snaps.

People are still people, where ever they live and when ever in history.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Hmmm, maybe that's why I want to travel? Uluru is pretty spectacular, as is much of the outback. Its so vast!
When in Copenhagen, I remember looking at Viking things that were so ancient and just being in awe of having history entwined with the everyday.
Have seen whales and large pods of dolphins up close, while on the water. Have seen the moon rise orange over many places. Have seen the stars multiplied by being in the middle of a desert with no lights, and outback sunsets where the sky is painted orange and intense blue.

Nearly anyone has something to inspire others. Sometimes its just not so obvious.
