My name is a Marina, and I'm a lawyer living in Porto Alegre.
I'm taking Master's degree in Human Rights Theory, and I love politics and law and the questions that concern people and gender. I'm very feminist #likeagirl.

I live with Ernesto, the sweetest dog in the world.

I have a lot of friends and a lovely family, and traveling is my passion.

I've been away from CS for a while, but now I decided to reativate it and maybe host someone nice here in Porto Alegre.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

During 2011-2012, I did an exchange year in Germany, and I had so many great Couchsurfing experiences. I always felt like I couldn't really give it back to the people, but since I lived with my family, that was hard. Now I live alone and I have enough space to host people and show around my amazing city :)

I believe in a world where the "money" is solidarity and togetherness (I don't know if it's a word). So I think couchsurfing experience is about making the world a btter place by changing ideas and having a common place to live. It's about making friends. It's about having fun. So, the question is not 'why', but 'why not?'

Interests

It depends. I like a lot of stuff. German(y) is my biggest interest now. But I also like politics, music (although I can not make ANY music - not sing, not play, not clap my hands in a proper rhythm), books, history and -surprise, surprise- cultures and countrys (really original for a couchsurfer, right?).

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies: My favorite, I think, is Mary and Max. I also like some political movies and romantic comedies. About series: Friends, How I met your mother, How to Get Away With Murder (Viola Davis ♥), Grey's Anatomy, etc. etc.
Music: I would list: Chico Buarque, Martnália, Bidê ou Balde, Engenheiros do Hawaii, and more of brazilian music. Sertanejo music as well, I won't deny it. Ich und Ich, Billy Joel, The Baseballs, ABBA, John Mayer, Beatles(of course!), pop songs... I'm very open to new music.
Books: I really like Brazilian writers and I have a crush with Harry Potter! Right now, I'm reading a lot about Human Rights.
