About Me

CURRENT MISSION

2 years ago I broke up my career as a theatre director because I felt the outcome was never worth the needed input. 50 to 60 hours of work per week for 3 minutes applause at the end of the day? No...
Luckily I found a more "meaningful" job that is family-friendly as well, a job where nobody needs to promote and sell himself, a job that is openminded, that can help others and give them trust.
The last two years I worked as a middle school teacher in Upper Austria. It was not enough to teach 10 to 14 year olds in a melting-pot-city... the covid19 pandemic made it even harder to stay in touch with the pupils and be a person of trust and relationship for them. Nevertheless it feels like one of the best decisions of my life so I'm looking forward to further years in school.

ABOUT ME

I enjoy being free, without obligations or duties but at the end of the day I need being around people to share nice moments with. For me, a hike, a glass of wine or a good laugh is better to enjoy with a friend than alone.
By living abroad in different countries and cities several times I learned being adaptable, curious and I feel like this is helping me enjoy life more. I love hearing other life-stories and experiences, I like experiencing new lifestyles...

I'm not going to invest all I have for having professional success. Relationships are way more important for me.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I tried couchsurfing first in 2014. I had to do a lot of job interviews all around Germany and couchsurfing helped me to get a better impression of the city I was at.
2019 I did couchsurfing 3 times in Spain and had a lot of fun with my hosts by exercising language skills ^^

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

It's waaaaaaaayyy easier to get a feeling for a city if you have a local that can give you insider-hints, tell you stories about mannerism of the city's inhabitants, show you around etc. It's like a living tourist guide but way better. Not just a bed to sleep in.

Teach, Learn, Share

As I worked at the theatre for a long time I could probably take you there for watching a play or something and tell you about what has to be done that everything happens as you see it on stage.
We could as well walk on a mountain top or have a nice stroll around one of Austrias marvellous lakes...
As I'm a german teacher at school I could also help you learn or improve your german skills.
