Hello, Nina & Peter here…we are a couple in our early 30’s travelling through south east Asia from August 2024-Jan 2025. We are then heading to Italy for 6 months to a year to study Italian and eat endless pasta and pizza. We are friendly, happy go lucky people who enjoy a laugh and don’t take ourselves too seriously. We have been working hard to make this adventure a reality and can’t wait to really sink our teeth into every experience and enjoy the ride.

I have worked in community care across various roles in disability support and health care. Over the last few years my area of focus has been working as a birth and postpartum
doula in an early intervention program that supports vulnerable and at risk mothers facing addiction, homelessness and domestic violence. I have a big heart, am passionate about life and the world, love animals, nature and dancing. In my down time I love to make ceramics, hang with my dog, cook and garden.

Pete is a carpenter with a background in art and loves furniture design and boat building. Pete is pretty tennis obsessed, loves boats and sailing. Pete is keen for whatever, easy going and laid back.

I think we all live really insular lives these days and couch surfing helps to breakdown these boundaries and remind ourselves that we are all one in the same.

I’ve been blessed with a lot of privilege and opportunity to travel and live a full life. I’m really not sure if I can say I’ve done anything amazing in terms of contributing to the world. However I can make pretty yummy fish tacos.

We are down to exchange in whatever way works. We can help with childcare, domestic duties around the house, garden work, friendship, English language exchange, I can help with a bit of Spanish too. We can cook for you :) Pete is handy and can help around the house with building and carpentry.
